Another Halloween spent lurking in tunnels! I had great fun a couple of night ago photographing the Guernsey Dyslexia Day Centre’s Underground Tunnel Run at the Underground Hospital. Great costumes, and another fun night in aid of a good cause.

Last weekend I spent the day in Jersey and, even if the rugby didn’t quite go in our favour, I had a great time with the camera. I even met the devil himself…
I’ve added some of the shots to my Scenic album.
My son runs a film night based at Guernsey Museum’s Frossard Theatre. As the Frossard has recently been renovated, he asked me to come and take some photos that he could use to publicise the screenings and the theatre. The images needed to capture the room itself and the cinema feeling when a film is playing, which meant combining a lit screen, with enough detail to highlight the seating. the film is also used as lecture theatre so I photos of both set ups.
You can see all the pictures here.
I’ve spent a lot of time on the trail of light trails this month and long roads to follow them down. See more images here.
Photography is all about light and so is Christmas in St Peter Port. I took the camera out a couple of nights ago and got some shots of the mast on the roundabout before I was chased back in by the weather. I’ve set up a ‘Working With Light‘ album and will keep adding to it over the next couple of weeks.
The harbour didn’t look like a great place to be today but whenever I see it from the window I still can’t help but think about all the journeys being made. So here’s a short video that I did. It’s a slide show made up of thousand’s of images, the camera was set to take a photo every 5 seconds from Sunup till Night. Enjoy.
“I’ve lived in good climate, and it bores the hell out of me. I like weather rather than climate.” – John Steinbeck
One of the joys of being a photographer living in Guernsey is that the weather offers such a variety scenes to capture. So, whilst it’s sometimes tempting to curl up inside at this time of year, it’s much more rewarding to get out and about with the camera.
I’ve added a ‘Scenic’ album to the Gallery page, and will keep adding to it…
